Before you get too excited by the title of this column, no I haven’t discovered an ingenious free means of skipping the commercials on ITVX, Channel 4 and the cheaper tiers of Netflix and Prime Video. If I had, I’d expect to be recognised in the King’s Birthday Honours list, such is the abundance of annoying adverts on our TV screens these days.
