Comedy-drama: STRIFE

Asher Keddie, Australia’s favourite actress, returns with another messy, anxiety-ridden character who is trying to holdis based on Mia Freedman’s 2017 memoir which focused on the creation of her hugely successful women’s website Mamamia, although it is not a straight biopic. Keddie plays Evelyn, who has started a women’s website called Eve, but finds her feminist principles lacking against the hard reality of “clicks”. Set in 2012, it takes aim at empty “empowerment” and the toxicity – which has only become worse – of the online environment for women. The series also stars Jonathan LaPaglia and Matt Day, and there’s a cameo from Kylie. Wowza.
