If unwanted weeds or grasses sprout above the canopy, the only practical solution for many crops is time-consuming weeding or mowing — preferably before they go to seed. Italian manufacturer Meneguzzo has developed the LOP front weed topper for this purpose and others.
Modular width
The base machine has a working width of 6.5m, but this can be extended to 9.0m or 12m by adding extra modules. The cutterbarworking height and the lateral inclination by operating two double-acting spools, which control the ram for setting the machine’s working height through a 50cm range. This is further extended by raising the tractor’s front linkage, enabling the working height to be set from as little as 30cm all the way up to a maximum of 130cm, depending on the host tractor.
