The sample for this single, which was produced by Drake producer Oz, his protégé Nik D and Sean Momberger (ProdbySean), comes from the 1995 RnB song „Whatever (Bass Soliloquy)“ by Cadillac Dale. In the original, the bass line is much longer and more complex, and the song is two semitones lower and around 10 bpm slower than the sample.
