Calls for sponge test to be made widely available to prevent cancer deaths
An innovative test that involves a patient swallowing a dissolvable pill on a string should be made more widely available in order to prevent cancer deaths, a charity has said.
The capsule sponge test, previously known as cytosponge, releases a sponge to collect cells from the oesophagus as it is retrieved.
