Editor's letter

Nicole Kidman was one of the first people I told about taking on the role of editor-in-chief of Vogue Australia more than a year ago. We were at the Balenciaga couture dinner in Paris, and she responded, “I have this idea for a cover …” And now here we are.

This is Australia cover and comes from a place of wanting to do things differently. It was driven by the idea that when you have an established body of work, an expectation builds that you do things in a “certain way” – but we wanted to break free of that, to shake things up.
