Plea to save historic temple

Devotees have rallied together to save a Reservoir Hills temple which has been vandalised by criminal elements and destroyed by floods.

Devotees at the Reservoir Hills Shree Vishnu Alayam (Temple) in Durban have expressed their fears and concerns around visiting the temple.

The 115-year-old temple on Whittaker Avenue (Umgudulu Road Temple), which is situated next to an informal settlement, has faced many problems in recent years, especially during the 2022 floods.

Deon Chetty, a devotee at the temple, joined other members to form the Save Our Temple committee which met last week to look
