Fewer and fewer people are drinking these days. 

That's not just an observation; the numbers prove it. According to 2021 research by Statista, some 35 per cent of men and 42 per cent of women in the 16 - 24 age group said they don't drink. The figures dip in the middle-age categories before rising again amongst those aged 75 and over.
