When last we met Tulsa, an electric scene was engulfing the BOK Center as bass fishing fans cheered on the conclusion of the 2016 Bassmaster Classic. It was a chilly affair then, with early March temperatures sending a gusty, bone-chilling breeze across Grand Lake O’ the Cherokees and over anglers running for the relative safety of the Elk River. But this year, fans headed for the Bass Pro Shops Bassmaster Classic presented by Jockey Outdoors are hoping for warmer temperatures surrounding a fishery and a city that have changed quite a bit in eight years.
