SWISS HOTEL The Alpina Gstaad is minimising food waste by serving leftovers on the slopes. Located in front of the Vorderes Eggli ski lifts in a converted snow groomer, the Offcut Food Truck serves dishes from upcycled offcuts and surplus ingredients. Leftover casarecce pasta is being used for pasta alla crudaiola, while ripe bananas from breakfast are whizzed up for banana cake. The truck, which is open Wednesday-Sunday from 10am-3pm, can be reached on skis or via the winter hiking trail.
