Dear Editor

It was great to see Foster 14446 The Leader on the cover of OG 401, where Burrell 2804 The Griffin also featured. These were the first traction engines I ever saw working, at the Birmingham Carnival Fair in November 1952. I could not have imagined that I would later be the driver of The Leader, which has been my privilege until recently.
