Home-made toys hold a special place in many people’s hearts

THE BMW 6 series GT was advertised at R5 500. The raised body Toyota Hilux was priced at R10 500. The Jeep Wrangler Rubicon was selling for R7 500 and the Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG would set you back R5 500.

There are no noughts missing in the above figures. The prices are all correct because these are battery-powered, ride-on toys that I came across on display at a large Durban shopping complex.
