John Webb 1931-2024

OBITUARY

John Webb, who died last Thursday aged 92, 70 years after landing his first PR role at Brands Hatch in 1954, did more to promote British motor racing than any other individual, cementing its position on the global stage. An organisational tour de force, he became boss of the Kentish circuit and, having brokered its sale to Grovewood Securities, brought Oulton Park, Mallory Park and Snetterton under the umbrella.
