Fund-raising farewell for DRS Class 37s

MORE than £3000 was raised for Martin House Children’s Hospice during a photoshoot held at York Holgate Works on December 16, 2023, featuring five Direct Rail Services Class 37s.

The locomotives had been employed on railhead treatment train duties in the area during the autumn,, 37419, 37422, 37425 and 37716 were tidied up ahead of the event and not covered in the usual grime associated with locomotives employed on RHTT jobs.
