THE Deltic Preservation Society No. 55019 Royal Highland Fusilier could return to the national network, hauling railtours, before the end of this year.
Following a repaint and other attention, at Barrow Hill, the locomotive is set to go to the Great Central Railway (GCR) to participate in special events and, possibly, to to the main line in 2023.
