IN 2016, I purchased six pairs of “pet type” aviary-bred budgerigars of assorted colours, all wearing 2016 rings. I knew that the breeder had prolific stock and, therefore, these would be good breeding birds. I have not been disappointed.
I housed them in a 15ft-long (4.5m) aviary and they settled in very well and soon started to breed.
