Peter Yang’s secret to looking great in photos: Don’t take yourself too seriously. “There’s something corny about someone to be good looking,” says the Texas-raised, Los Angeles–based photographer, who captured portraits of the comedian Leanne, the late Leslie Jordan, but recently he’s been most captivated by everyday folks. “Since the pandemic, I’ve started photographing people on the street, and families and couples,” he says. “It’s made my work more joyous.”
