BABY MIX-UP AGONY

THEY’D been married for over a decade and their life together was good – except for one thing: they desperately wanted a child.

Eventually after years of struggling to conceive, they turned to a fertility clinic for help and were thrilled when they discovered they were expecting twin girls.

But when the babies were born in March 2019, the Asian-American couple had plenty of questions: for starters, the babies were boys – and they didn’t resemble them genetically at all.

The CHA Fertility Center in Los Angeles that treated the couple promised to investigate but in the meantime the couple – known only as YZ and AP – took the babies home.

As AP was producing milk she breastfed the twins and loved watching
