An International Dark Sky Park since 2013, the night sky above Chacolocation for stargazing and astrophotography. However, just a mile up the road behind the visitor centre is a 25-inch Dobsonian telescope housed in an observatory dome. It’s open on Tuesday, Friday and Saturday evenings during summer. Sessions typically begin with a lecture on the astronomical practices of the Ancestral Puebloans.
