England Six Nations squad: Steve Borthwick rings changes as Jamie George named captain

Jamie George has been confirmed as England’s new captain, becoming the country’s most powerful rugby player.

Head coach Steve Borthwick has rung the changes in a fresh-looking 36-man Six Nations squad, omitting Kyle Sinckler and Billy Vunipola in looking to the future.

Immanuel Feyi-Waboso has been called up to England duty, after the Exeter wing opted against representing his native Wales.

Saracens hooker George takes the armband from Owen Farrell, who has stood himself down from Test rugby, to become England’s 135th captain.

The 33-year-old has also led the England players’ decision to break away
