    BP names Murray Auchincloss as permanent CEO after shock departure of disgraced Bernard Looney

    Oil giant BP today confirmed that interim CEO Murray Auchincloss would become its permanent chief executive following the shock departure of his disgraced predecessor Bernard Looney.

    A BP employee for more than 25 years, Auchincloss became interim CEO in September after amid allegations that he was dishonest as a result.
