THE new year heralds the start of the 10th season of Formula E, and it should be a cracker as teams continue to get to grips with the latest generation of envelope-pushing electric single-seaters. The 2024 calendar kicks off this coming weekend in Mexico City, and includes exciting new street events in Tokyo and Shanghai.
The ultimate electric single-seater formula with its low-carbon philosophy was not immediately embraced by all motorsport fans a decade ago, but there’s no doubt there’s a buzz around the Formula E championship today. Last year, it’s claimed that more than 225 million viewers watched live coverage, making it the fourth most popular motorsport on the planet, overtaking NASCAR.
