I'd heard via a friend-of-a-friend there was a job going in the Asian department at Woolley & Wallis and thought it would be something creative to do – getting together catalogues and organising photography – soIt turned out there wasn't, but there was an assistant's job in the jewellery department up for grabs, and after several interviews I joined the auction house in 2009.
