Q. Can diamond doves be housed in an aviary with budgerigars?
A. Although diamond doves are docile and can usually be housed in a mixed collection, I would have reservations in housing them with budgerigars, as budgies can become aggressive when breeding. Diamond doves can be housed with other species such as Australian finches and way-bills, or with small Australian parakeets such as the Bourke's, or even cockatiels.
