Verulam residents struggle

call for intervention

FRUSTRATED residents of Trenance Park in Verulam, who have been without piped water for months, are demanding immediate intervention from the eThekwini Municipality.

Scores of residents took to the streets last week to air their grievance over the ongoing water crisis.

Lexie Pillay, 37, of Madrona Drive, in Trenance Park New Phase, said residents living along the main road were without water for more than 80 days.

Pillay, who lives with her mother, Samantha, 59, said they were forced to rely on tankers which were scarce, and had to purchase water
