    Fresh by-election headache for Sunak confirmed as Skidmore officially resigns

    Rishi Sunak is set to face another by-election challenge after ex-net zero tsar Chris Skidmore formally resigned as an MP in protest at the Government’s plans to boost oil and gas drilling in the North Sea.

    The will now have to set a date for the vote being held in the Kingswood, in South on Monday.
