Scarlette’s Magic Round About

Let’s play a clapping game,’ my youngest Scarlette, then five, said to her brother Eli, six, and sister Aurora-Rose, seven.

I loved watching them play together and, because of Scarlette’s challenges, there were only so many ways she could join in.

Born in November 2017, Scarlette had poor muscle tone and she’d struggled to feed, the milk going into her lungs instead of her stomach.

Doctors put her on a nasal gastric tube for six months before inserting a Mic-Key button into her stomach so she could be fed that way.
