Muse Mail

LETTER of the MONTH

Who Has Eight Arms and Loves Muse? This Guy!

This letter is about two things. 1. Muse. 2. Octopuses.

I will save the bit about octopuses for last, so as to build your anticipation. First of all, I love, (as well as every synonym for it in a dictionary or thesaurus) Muse. I have been getting it for about a year. Every time an edition arrives in the mail here is what I do.

• Drop whatever I’m doing.
• Read the whole thing cover to cover.
• Store it with my other Muse magazines to be reread later.

I think that “Muse News” is particularly interesting because even if you guess the wrong one (which I must admit I often do), you are hit with the realization that the thing you thought was so out there it could not possibly be true is will consist of one part.

When you’re feeling sick, it probably doesn’t occur to you to try eating tree bark. But that’s precisely what some chimpanzees may do. You might already know that chimpanzees share plenty of similarities with humans: They play, they fight, they form
