If you’re thinking about a new tablet, one company will almost certainly come to mind first: Apple. Thirteen years after making its debut, the iPad (in its various sizes) remains the go-to device for millions of people. They’re a no-brainer if you own an iPhone, but what if you prefer Android phones?
In that situation, it usually makes most sense to get a tablet that’s also running Android. The software experience isn’t quite as good as iPadOS, but there are plenty of tablet apps these days and extensive customization options.

That said, if you intend for your new slate to spend most of its life propped up on your lap or on a desk, weight isn’t likely to be so much
