Build a Bonded Warehouse

ONE OF the leftovers from Britain's manufacturing history are warehouses. This kit represents a bonded warehouse where goods were securely stored, and so is most suitable for port and docklands locations. However, it could represent a place of manufacturing if you combined it with other kits. Many of these warehouses still exist and have been refurbished for a new life.

The website text hints at repurposing the kit for modern image usage, so I decided to take up the challenge. This building has been modelled to represent a renovated building being used as apartments. The main upgrade is to replace the windows and doors, and since I have recently acquired a 3D printer, I decidedoff, but sometimes these are retained as period features. Alternatively, omit the bulk of the hoist and just fit the brackets to show where it used to be.
