Painting hydrangeas

I HAVE masses of hydrangeas in my garden, which are rather drab at this time of year. To combat the doom and gloom, I decided to take a can of floral spray paint to the brown heads.

Now gently shaded blue and pink, a bit of colour has been suddenly introduced to my winter garden. For years, I have dried hydrangea heads and given them a quick spray paint to uplift the colour, so why not the bushes in the garden? I thoroughly recommend the treatment. So far,
