‘I became obsessed’

Picking up a dainty teacup in a local vintage shop, I knew I had to have it. I was 13 and used my pocket money to buy it. I adored teacups and this was to be the start of a very special collection.
I was only small when my love of fine china began. Every day after school, my mum laid the table with her teapot, teacups and the biscuit tin. She would pour, and ask about my and, wanting to be like the TV characters, bought a couple of dome-shaped mugs and drank my tea from those.
