We had a good summer performing in 31 parades around Minnesota in our 1930 Ford AA dually. Between parade weekends, we took my 2010 winter project—a 1930 Ford 255A Special Delivery—to the Model “A” Restorers Club National Meet in Ohio. There it got 493 of the possible 500 points and an Award of Excellence. I should mention, the Special Delivery is a tribute to my grandfather and his Ford agency, established in 1919. He also was friends with Fred and Augie Duesenberg and had a Duesey touring car. My grandmother sold it for war scrap when he died.
I’m sitting in my recliner and enjoying the November HMN and have a question. I’m reading more than one ad that says, “New interior, new top, recent paint, all original....” We both know that it can only be original once. As the editor, can’t you edit out “original” when they are obviously not original? Just curious.
Keep up the great work,
Tom Owens
