The National Trust for Scotland is the country’s largest garden owner, looking after 38 major gardens. Leith Hall, in north-eastern Scotland, is one of the jewels in its crown, employing three gardeners assisted by 12 dedicated volunteers.
The walled garden complete with kitchen garden are such key attractions that they can be visited in their own right, whether guests visit the country house or not. Stroll through the orchards, see acres of fruit and veg growing, discover wildflower meadows and a
