November is silly season when it comes to the world of two wheels. All the big manufacturers (and plenty of smaller ones) reveal their new products for the forthcoming year. New scooters, bikes, products, riding kit and plenty of accessories are showcased in this massive annual event held a few miles outside Milan. Here’s our selection from the usual suspects, with a wild card from Kymco thrown in for good measure.
VESPA
I’m sure many of our readers are Vespa fans and Piaggio always has a large and impressive stand. This year was no different, with a wall of boxed Vespa GTSs greeting you as you arrived, in a similar fashion to the display of classics at the museum in Pontedera.
The colourful stand was flanked by models wearing casual clothing and Vespabranded accessories, and there was a new Vespa logo on the stand. However, there was nothing new to shout about for Vespa GTS fans. Smallframe fans might be a bit happier though. This year Piaggio was concentrating on its new Moto Guzzi and Aprilia so we were overlooked slightly.
