As a first step into racing for the aspiring circuit expert, the radio-controlled car route is not an unusual one – certainly for those who don’t have the deep pockets to fork out for cadet kart motorsport. Tin-top racer Jake Hill certainly found out that it sated the early competitive instincts within him.
He is not alone in having this miniature orbit as a starting point for him, as seven-time Formula 1 World champion Lewis Hamilton and his brother Nicolas also chose to opt for this path before they could step up for real.
