‘Forgotten’ Standard tank donated to West Somerset

THE ownership of BR Standard 2-6-4T No. 80064 has been transferred to the West Somerset Railway after the locomotive spent almost 40 years on the Bluebell.

In a textbook case of locomotives owing their survival to individuals or groups coming together to save them, only to later disband, the 80064 Locomotive Fund has become the latest to wind up.
