TRAVEL Brazil

Brazil was a stumbled-upon holiday destination. It was never on my vision board nor in my bookmarks bar. But lookingback, I couldn't have happened upon a destination more suited to my adventurous, spontaneous personality.

When people ask me what I love most about Brazil, I always say Brazilians because at the heart of my Brazilian experience is the warmth of the people. I would never have had the time of my life without the generous handholding of Brazilians who wanted to share every facet of their culture with me. There is something to be said about how people in tropical countries receive you. Maybe itʼs the excess Vitamin D their bodies soak up from the sun, because even when you meet people who are not native to the land but have allowed the culture, people and the traditions to engulf them, they approach life very differently, and that tends to rub off on you, even as a globetrotter.

When you leave Brazil, you are a very different human being.
