This high-end speaker’s dynamic, detailed and balanced audio makes it stand out from the others we tested.
SET-UP AND CONNECTIVITY: The Sonos app makes it easy to set up and use the speaker, whether you are adding it to an existing Sonos network or are new to the platform.
EASE OF USE: This is the only speaker we tested that runs off its own battery, so it is portable, if quite heavy because of the quality components. It is user-friendly, and apps are easily accessible.
APP INTEGRATION: You can control the speaker with your voice, with Alexa or with Sonos voice control. (It’s not compatible with Google Assistant.) The intuitive Sonos app handled everything from multiroom set-up to music streaming smoothly.
Excellent sound quality with smooth mids, satisfying lows, and under-control treble. Impressive audio clarity. Sound is refined throughout and well-balanced, with rich bass across a wide dynamic range. The built-in microphone array is also used when setting up the speaker with Sonos’ TruePlay sound calibration system, which customises the sound for a particular space, whether it’s indoors or outside. The Move 2 is equipped with a dual-tweeted acoustic architecture that allows for more spacious stereo sound. The speaker’s mics willwhenever you move it into a new environment. Wi-Fi streaming is reliable and smooth, and Bluetooth audio also sounds great. The speaker’s range from high to low end is unmatched due to dual angled tweeters alongside a woofer.
