Two rare paintings

Brixham based John Chancellor (1925-1984) is considered one of the finest marine painters of his generation. His career was cut short with his death aged 59 and there are only 150 paintings in depicting a Brixham Mule battling a heaving swell off Start Point. Chancellor spent most of his life at the helm of merchant vessels. Also on show is a watercolour titled Punching Westward
