While all eyes might have been focused on the predictable ending to the story of the overall British Touring Car Championship in 2023 as Ash Sutton strode to the title at Brands Hatch in October, Power Maxed Racing had it all on the line going into the Kent showdown too.
The Vauxhall Astra squad was gunning for glory in the only wide-open contest left, which was for the rookie-based Jack Sears Trophy. PMR’s drivers Andrew Watson and Mikey Doble went toe-to-toe for the series’ largest piece of silverware, with the former easing his way to the spoils as the latter was drop-kicked out of battle of the opening race on the grand prix layout.
Power Maxed Racing is no stranger to JST honours. Josh Cook scooped the title for the squad in 2015 and Senna Proctor repeated the feat in 2017. Watson’s victory this term
