Grandparenthood is new step for Strictly judge
Strictly Come Dancing head judge Shirley Bal las has become a grandmother with the birth of her first grandchild.
Her son Mark – a former performer on Dancing with the Stars in the US – and his wife BC Jean welcomed son Banksi early last month.
The couple announced their happy news on social media and wrote: “Welcome to Earth my son Banksi Wylde Ballas 11 / 5 / 23.”
Liverpool-born Shirley, 63, had spoken of her excitement she was going to be a “glam-ma for the first time” and adding that she was also hoping to visit the new little family at their home in California. “My son lives in Los Angeles… anything is possible.”
