The true value of vet care

DOES THE cost put you off taking your dog to the vet? Recently vet fees have come under increasing scrutiny, with many people claiming that the price of treatment for even minor ailments is fast becoming unaffordable. According to reports, the cost of veterinary care has risen faster than the rate of inflation. Most practices now charge at least £50 for a single consultation. As a result, last September the Government’s Competition and Markets Authority launched a review of the sector, encouraging pet owners to comment via its website.
