Tough times ahead for NZ media giants

Recent financial announcements from some of New Zealand’s biggest media companies reflect challenging times for the industry.

State-owned broadcaster TVNZ reported a net profit after tax of $1.7 million in the year to June 30, a 78 percent drop from $7.9 million in 2022.
