Reality: TOUGH AS NAILS

It’s season five of the very laudable, but no less entertaining, reality show co-created byfor 22 years, but his deep admiration for, as he told one interviewr, “the everyday people who literally keep our country running” led to a show in which tradespeople take on challenges. In season five, Canadians became eligible to compete and there are four out of the 12, who include two firefighters, an electrician, a carpenter and a tile setter. In the first episode, contestants cut up scrap metal and then form teams to pressure wash and repaint the hull of a tugboat.
