A WELSH section A foal went through the card to lift the supreme horse accolade on his show-ring debut. Ryan Wilson's Cilmery Casemiro was the gift that kept on giving.

After impressing Welsh section A judge Adrian Bowen, of the Glycoch Stud, to take the top spot in a mammoth foal class and swiftly lift the breed championship, the flashy colt upped his game to finish reserve Welsh supreme under Dennis Price, before he reigned to be Emrys Jones’ choice for the supreme title.

“He definitely had the X factor when he walked into the ring,” commented Adrian, who selected the Rees family's home-bred yearling filly, Erw Wastad Platinum Queen,
