A BUILDER’S VIEW WHAT LIES AHEAD FOR SELF-BUILDERS AND RENOVATORS IN 2024?

In 2023, the construction sector saw a drop in output of approximately 18%, according to the construction insights company Glenigan. I believe that 2024, however, will prove to be a much better year for self-builders and renovators, for a number of reasons.

Interest rates have naturally had a big effect on borrowing. No one has a crystal ball, but I see borrowing rates coming down to get the industry moving forward quicker. The commercial market of large developers, offices, schools etc, is somewhat different to that of self-builders and renovators.
