Montserrat The unluckiest island

At first glance, the Queen Elizabeth II issues of Montserrat look like those of any other island in the British West Indies: exotic birds and fishes; royal anniversaries and visits; handicrafts; scenery; and sports. But mixed in with the rest is a story of two natural disasters and one unexpected casualty.

In I986, the island issued a set of four stamps promoting tourism. The top value is one of very few stamps to feature a recording studio; Associated Independent Recording studios, universally known as AIR.
