Wandering around Goodwood Revival this year with a good VW friend, I couldn’t help but notice that most of the cars there – and all of the cars in the auction area – had pretty overblown provenance. I even took a load of pics of an incredible pre-airflow Mk1 Cortina with Team Lotus livery, only to later discover it was Jim Clark’s car through the internet.
