mechi Mandi has been busy. The London-based designer draws on his Cameroonian and Nigerian heritage for his work, which has (so far) encompassed a collection of cushions and a wallpaper collaboration with Dado Atelier. Now, he’s turned his hand to rugs, creating dynamic designs for east London rug dealer Floor_Story – and while these pieces are grounded in a childhood memory rather than his extensive research into African textiles, they still embrace a bold and joyful approach to colour.
